Some employees at Los Angeles International Airport have chosen the busiest travel week of the year to stage a hunger strike, the Daily Breeze reports.
At least a dozen workers, including cabin cleaners and wheelchair attendants, say they will participate in a three-day hunger fast – drinking only liquids – beginning Monday to protest what they say are stolen wages and their breaks being withheld.
The workers are employed by Aviation Safeguards and Scientific Concepts, two airport contractors.
