The Los Angeles International Airport is expected to see more foot traffic during the 17-day, end-of-year holiday period than anywhere else in the country, KPCC reports. Officials project 3.5 million people will pass through LAX from Dec. 18 through Jan. 3, a nearly 8 percent increase over last year.
Meanwhile, Uber and Lyft are still not allowed to pick up passengers from terminals as the ridesharing companies continue to go through the permit process.
For those interested, helicopter shuttle services are available to LAX for $250.
