LAUSD Looks to Airwaves to Slash Deficit

The Los Angeles Unified School District has committed to sell off its rights to its public television station, KLCS, in an upcoming federal spectrum auction. The opening bid price is set at $549 million and the proceeds, if a deal happens, would help offset the district’s projected $72.2 million three-year deficit, according to KPCC.
