There’s no room at the inn for the numerous luxury hotels in Beverly Hills and Los Angeles on TripAdvisor Inc.’s list of the top 25 hotels in the Unites States.

The only Southern California hotel in the top 25 was the Ponte Vineyard Inn in Temecula, which ranked sixth.

The Sherry-Netherland Hotel in New York topped the consumer travel review site’s list, which is compiled from assessments by visitors to the website from around the world.

A number of posh, upscale hotels elsewhere in the country were also excluded.

Survey notwithstanding, local tourism and hotel professionals remain confident about the offerings and performance of local hotels.

“As far as our Los Angeles area hotels, they are performing well and continue to provide the high level of customer service and hospitality our guests would expect from our regions’ partners,” said Bob Amano, Executive Director of the Hotel Association of Los Angeles.
