National Football League owners are meeting Wednesday to talk about the possibility of bringing the NFL back to Los Angeles, the Los Angeles Times reports. No decision is expected.
There are two stadium proposals: one in Inglewood for the St. Louis Rams and another in Carson for the San Diego Chargers and Oakland Raiders.
However, St. Louis Rams owner Stan Kroenke reportedly wrote a letter last week to the NFL Committee on L.A. Opportunities, detailing plans to share his proposed Inglewood stadium with another NFL team. That clears a potential roadblock for him, since the league appears to favor two teams in Los Angeles.
His deal could consist of a 50-50 split of the cost to build the $1.86-billion stadium as well as evenly splitting the revenue from it.
The NFL is scheduled to meet in January to further discuss the possible relocation.
