Kobe Bryant didn’t just deliver a record-breaking show for the fans at Staples Center last night.
The retiring Lakers guard also helped Time Warner Cable SportsNet to its highest ratings since 2013.
The channel averaged more than 500,000 total viewers, the most since Bryant’s return to the court following his Achilles injury three years ago.
Bryant scored 60 points in a 101-96 win over the Utah Jazz – more than any other NBA player before him in a farewell performance.
The game was covered by play-by-play announcer Bill Macdonald, reporter Mike Trudell, and longtime analyst Stu Lantz, who has covered all of Bryant’s 1,346 games.
