Hospital CEO, Guilty of Fraud, Sues Attorneys

Michael D. Drobot, the former chief executive of Pacific Hospital of Long Beach, pleaded guilty in February to the largest medical fraud scheme in state history. But on Thursday he announced he has filed a $50 million defamation lawsuit against a group of plaintiffs’ attorneys, alleging they made false claims against him and the hospital, the Press-Telegram reports.
