El Segundo health advisory firm Camden Group announced Monday it has been bought by GE Healthcare, a division of Fairfield, Conn.-based General Electric Co.
Camden provides an array of consulting services to health-care business such as medical groups and hospitals.”
The newly formed GE Healthcare Camden Group will act as the business arm of GE Healthcare’s Barrington, Ill.-based global advisory firm, GE Healthcare Partners. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
As of now, the new firm doesn’t intend to move Camden Group’s office from Los Angeles, said GE spokeswoman Tracy Doyle in a phone call.
“We like to have our consultants as close to our customers as possible, who are currently all over the country including Los Angeles, Boston and Chicago,” Doyle said. “We don’t envision a lot of changes in that structure.”
