It depends on your definition of “early,” but the three-month old Porter Ranch gas leak should be stopped by February instead of March, according to an Associated Press article posted on the ABC News website. Meanwhile, the Southern California Gas Co. said it has abandoned efforts to trap and burn off the gas.
