Fundraising on Snapchat

The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation plans to donate $3 to the nonprofit group RED every time a “World AIDS Day” digital banner is used on Tuesday on Venice’s Snapchat, the social-networking startup, the Los Angeles Times reports. RED was founded by singer and U2 front man Bono and Bobby Shriver to raise awareness about AIDS.
