Fare Hikes Won’t Fix Deficit

Increased Metro bus and rail fares that take effect in 10 days will raise $21 million by the end of the 2015 fiscal year, which is not enough to close the Metropolitan Transportation Authority’s $36.8 million deficit, officials said in the San Gabriel Valley Tribune.
