EcoSense Lighting, a Los Angeles-based LED lighting manufacturer, announced Tuesday that it has acquired Journee, a privately-owned lighting company in Westlake Village. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced.
“Journee’s specifier-grade product portfolio is a great complement to our brand,” said Mark Reynoso, chief executive of EcoSense Lighting in a statement. “Further, their significant IP portfolio will enable us to expand our product offering in interesting ways.”
The acquisition also allows EcoSense to enter the downlight and track lighting market in what has shaped up to be a year of bustling activity.
In February, EcoSense Lighting closed on more than $25 million in financing led by Richmond Global Ventures, as well as follow-on investments from Bain Capital Ventures and Flagship Ventures. In November, the company came in at No. 42 on the Business Journal’s list of 100 Fastest Growing Private Companies in Los Angeles.
