Ousted American Apparel chief executive Dov Charney’s lawyer has threatened a lawsuit against the Los Angeles-based firm’s board of directors. American Apparel’s board voted Wednesday to drop Charney from the board and suspend him, pending his eventual firing, as chief executive. The board’s decision “grew out of an ongoing investigation into alleged misconduct” after Charney rejected an ultimatum to resign. Charney’s attorney said the board’s actions were unlawful and he is willing to sue to get his job back, the Los Angeles Times reports.
