Defense Stocks Bound on Airstrikes

Investors are expecting to see a rise in sales of weapons and gear, including items made by contractors in Southern California, as U.S. and allied aircraft bomb Islamic State and Al Qaeda positions in Iraq and Syria, including 41 airstrikes since Monday, the Los Angeles Times reports. Defense stocks have climbed between 5 percent and 10 percent since airstrikes began in August.
