Council Votes to Curb ‘Mansionization’ Demolitions

The Los Angeles City Council unanimously voted Tuesday to draft rules that would temporarily curb demolitions in more than a dozen neighborhoods where residents have complained about “mansionization,” or homes being replaced with buildings seen as too big for their lots, the Los Angeles Times reports.
