Council Members Crack Down on Weed Shop Certificates

Councilwoman Nury Martinez and Councilman Jose Huizar are pushing to end the city practice of issuing tax registration certificates to medical marijuana shops without determining if they are allowed to operate under Proposition D, the Los Angeles Times reports.
