Consumer Prices Make Record Drop

Consumer prices in January posted their biggest drop since 2008 as gasoline prices went down, CNBC reports. The news may cause the Federal Reserve to keep interest rates lower for the time being. The Labor Department’s Consumer Price Index fell 0.7 percent last month which was the largest decline since December 2008 and the third straight month of decline for the index.
