Chinese Firm Buys Yamashiro Site in Hollywood Hills

The Hollywood Hills home of the famed Yamashiro restaurant has been sold to a Beijing company for nearly $40 million, the Los Angeles Times reports. JE Group, a hotel operator, says it had plans for a small hotel, apartments and that it would maintain the restaurant building on the seven-acre site.
