Veteran political consultants David Jacobson and Maclen Zilber have launched an East Hollywood-based campaign communications firm called Jacobson & Zilber Strategies.

The consultancy will provide campaign strategy and infrastructure for Democratic candidates as well as strategic communications, crisis management, and public affairs services for corporate and non¬profit clients. It will also offer public relations services in the form of direct mail, online, television, and radio advertisements.

“We’re excited to launch this new venture that will deliver cutting-edge creativity, agility, and top-notch communications, media and political strategy services to a range of clients,” Jacobsen said in a statement.

Both Jacobson and Zilber have extensive backgrounds working on Democratic campaigns at the local, state, and national levels, including the campaigns of Rep. Janice Hahn, D-44th; State Sen. Isadore Hall, D-Inglewood; and Hillary Clinton’s 2008 presidential run.

Zilber said he and Jacobson have been working successfully together for years, so an official partnership seemed like the logical next step.
