California Governor Declares State of Emergency in Porter Ranch

Gov. Jerry Brown has declared a state of emergency in Porter Ranch over the leaking of methane gas from an underground storage field, according to the BBC. Brown ordered “all necessary and viable actions” be taken to stop the leak, which has forced more than 2,000 families to relocate from their homes.
