Bill to Keep Aliso Canyon Shut Advances

A bill to extend the closure of Sothern California Gas Co.’s Aliso Canyon gas storage facility was sent to the governor after it passed the state Senate on a 36-0 vote. The Associated Press reports the bill extends Gov. Jerry Brown’s moratorium on injecting gas into the site until regulators complete a review and decide whether the facility may reopen.
