Beachwood Brewing is expanding.
The Long Beach-based brewer opened its newest location this month at the 2nd & PCH shopping center.
Just steps from the Alamitos Bay Marina and local farmers markets, the outdoor tasting room will serve an assortment of Beachwood beers, including West Coast IPAs and seasonal favorites, plus hard seltzers.
Gabriel Gordon, co-owner of Beachwood Brewing, said the company has been working on this new location since 2019 but the Covid-19 pandemic delayed the project significantly.
“A tasting room just makes sense – it’s an open, outdoor tasting room, in a busy retail plaza in our own backyard,” Gordon said in a statement. The expansion extends Beachwood’s footprint from their flagship Beachwood in downtown on The Promenade to the Marina, another heavily trafficked section of Long Beach.
The outdoor patio is dog-friendly and has two bar sections to serve customers.
In addition to the 2nd & PCH location, Beachwood Brewing also has taprooms in Garden Grove, Huntington Beach and downtown Long Beach.
Six restaurants located in 2nd & PCH will offer food for delivery to Beachwood customers. The restaurants include Active Culture, The Italian Homemade, Noble Bird Rotisserie, Shake Shack, A PCH and Potato Chips Deli, the brewery’s release said.
Located at 6430 E. Pacific Coast Highway, 2nd & PCH is a community urban village with nearly 1,100 parking spaces, complimentary Wi-Fi, fire pits, a water feature, dedicated bicycle lanes and hospitality focused amenities.
The shopping center is owned by CenterCal Properties LLC. Founded in 2004, the company is a commercial real estate firm that invests, develops, leases and manages its projects.
