A group of pharmaceutical companies plan to work together to test existing and experimental cancer drugs, the Los Angeles Times reports. The National Immunotherapy Coalition, as the initiative is to be known, will be spearheaded by Thousand Oaks biotech giant Amgen, Los Angeles billionaire Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong, several university cancer centers, and others.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the coalition will conduct dozens of small-scale clinical trials across the country over the next two to three years, followed by later-stage trials.
