Activists: Curb ‘Mansionization’ Now

Neighborhood activists complained Tuesday that Los Angeles is moving too slowly to close regulatory loopholes that allow “mansionization,” or the building of homes that some deem too big for their lots, the Los Angeles Times reports. A City Council plan to tighten planning and building restrictions is expected to take a year and half to complete.
