Southwest Airlines is eliminating seven daily non-stop flights from Burbank Bob Hope Airport starting this month.

The Dallas-based airline will go to 43 non-stop flights to six cities from 50 daily flights, said spokesman Brad Hawkins.

“These are frequency adjustments that are reflective of what see in the September and October timeframe,” Hawkins said.

The six cities served by non-stop flights are Denver, Las Vegas, Oakland, Phoenix, Sacramento, and San Jose.

Southwest is the largest of the seven airlines serving the Burbank airfield. In July, the airline served 234,651 passengers, a decrease of 3.2 percent from July 2012 when it served 242,387 passengers.

Overall, Bob Hope, which has been struggling with a decline in passengers, saw another decrease in July. The airport served 318,859 passengers during in the month, an 8.2 percent decline from a year earlier.
