Aircraft services provider Mercury Air Centers is paying $600,000 to settle a 2008 federal lawsuit accusing an employee at its Burbank airport operation berated fellow workers with sexual and racial comments.
The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission filed suit against Bob Hope Airport’s Mercury Air after a Filipino and six Hispanic employees complained about racially and sexually offensive comments made by a Salvadoran co-worker.
Mercury Air was sold after the suit was filed and became part of Atlantic Services.
