Venice digital media company Zealot Networks has acquired Premier Sports & Entertainment to boost its talent management offerings.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

The agency will become part of Zealot’s music and entertainment vertical, providing experience in representation, event planning and marketing.

PSE represents professional athletes and coaches for contract negotiations, sponsorships and marketing. Clients include Seattle Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll. In joining Zealot, the Encino agency will have access to a multiplatform business and have new venues in which to connect clients to brands and entrepreneurs.

Danny Zappin, who founded Zealot after his stint as Maker Studios’ chief, told the Business Journal last month that he was looking to build a company that tackles every aspect of digital media consumption, from creation to distribution. The Venice network in December acquired music monetization platform AudioMicro for $20 million.

“There’s billions of dollars shifting from TV to digital and social,” he said in an interview last month. “We’re really looking at building blocks that have a lot of synergies together.”

Zealot launched in August with $25 million in funding provided by Zappin and 15 former and current Maker employees. It also secured an investment from UK media company ITV last month that valued the company at $100 million. Zappin has since said Zealot could possibly complete additional financing rounds in the near future.
