Vision Internet, a government website developer headquartered in Santa Monica, has secured a growth capital investment from Caltius Equity Partners.
Terms of the investment were not disclosed.
The money will be used to expand Vision Internet’s website management platform for local governments.
David M. Nachman, a tech executive who was most recently Velocify’s chief business officer, will become Vision Internet’s chief executive. Founder Steve Chapin will stay on as an investor, adviser and board member.
“The Caltius investment is good news for employees and customers,” Chapin said in a statement. “It will allow us to expand our reach and develop even more advanced features and functionality to facilitate online government.”
Vision Internet, which serves nearly 600 government, non-profit and education clients in North America, aims to improve government efficiency, transparency and interactivity with citizens.
“At a time when local government transparency has taken on newfound importance and constituents are increasingly demanding their voices be heard effectively by local government, it is clear that municipalities are thinking very differently about the use of technology,” Nachman said in a statement.
