UCLA Anderson School of Management has launched an accelerator.
The 10,000-square-foot UCLA Anderson Venture Accelerator is housed within the Rosenfeld Library and is open to Anderson MBA candidates, undergraduate students, graduate students from other UCLA schools and faculty researchers. The accelerator is designed to encourage collaboration between disciplines as varied as health, computer sciences, engineering and the humanities.
“The UCLA Anderson Venture Accelerator offers students and researchers an environment that triggers innovation and breakthrough ventures,” UCLA Anderson Dean Judy Olian said in a statement. “It brings together students and faculty from across UCLA, including the health and computer sciences, engineering, and the humanities to develop new ventures.”
The accelerator will host guest speakers, topical seminars and demo days for resident companies. The facility can host 45 people within a co-working area. The facility includes meeting rooms, lounge areas and a kitchen and it has access to UCLA Anderson’s research libraries.
