Dating app Tinder of West Hollywood has opened an outpost in Delhi, India, its first international office, reports Quartz.

The office will help Tinder customize its app to Indian tastes and will help support local users. India could become the dating app’s largest user base, Head of India Taru Kapoor said to Quartz.

“India is young, everybody is coming online and mobile is their primary device,” she said. “The country is changing. And the next wave of users are going to come from a country like India.”

India’s conservative culture makes Tinder’s success and expansion especially noteworthy as the app has a reputation for facilitating hookups. Last year, Tinder downloads in India increased by more than 400 percent, the company said. Users in India are showing strong engagement and represent the highest number of messages exchanged per match globally, said Kapoor.
