Telesign Joins ‘Lock Down Your Login’ Initiative

Telesign announced that it had joined the National Cyber Security Alliance’s “Lock Down Your Login” internet safety and security initiative, which calls for multi-factor verification, according to a press release. Multi-factor verification uses a separate device, biometrics, such as voice or facial recognition, or a one-time code to confirm the identity of a user.

Sketchers Launches Mobile App

Manhattan Beach-based shoe company Sketchers has launched a mobile e-commerce app for purchasing shoes and accumulating rewards points, according to a press release. Additionally, the app offers a store locator, and a barcode search that will help the shopper find and order additional sizes and colors of a style that might not be available in a store.

Space Exploration Technology Corp.’s Chief Executive Elon Musk said that less than five percent of the company’s employees were working on its recently unveiled Mars mission, reports TechCrunch. He also said the predicted 2024 mission launch date is optimistic.

Tinder Starts Testing ‘Boost’ Feature

Dating app Tinder started testing its “Boost” feature in Australia, a paid service that allows online daters to meet more potential matches, according to the company’s blog post. Tinder Boost gives users a way to be one of the top profiles in their area for 30 minutes, allowing them to get up to 10 times more profile views.
