Video Game Voice Actors End 11-Month Strike

Video game voice actors called off a strike against 11 video game publishers, ending an 11-month-long labor dispute over royalties, reports Venture Beat. The Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists voted to end the strike, which has been in effect since Oct. 21 of last year.

Snapchat’s New Augmented Reality Effect Transforms the Sky

Snapchat’s latest augmented reality effect, called Sky Filters, automatically detects the sky in images and repaints it with different atmospheric looks, reports TechCrunch. The new filters are rolling out live starting Monday on iOS and Android and will be rotating daily to slot in different effects, including virtual weather, sunsets, starry skies, rainbows and storm clouds.

OpenX Acquires Two Advertising Technologies Companies

Online advertising marketplace OpenX announced that it has completed the acquisition of ad tech firms Mezzobit and PubNation, according to a press release. Mezzobit allows publishers to track and control how third-party tags and pixels interact with their sites, and PubNation’s technology equips publishers with tools to manage advertising quality at scale.
