Sixgill Raises $27.9 Million

Internet-of-Things sensor maker Sixgill announced on Monday it has completed a $27.9 million Series B round led by DRW Venture Capital with participation from Mobile Financial Partners, according to a press release. The funds will be used to further develop the company’s Internet-of-Things software platform.

Northrop Grumman to Acquire Orbital ATK for $7.8 Billion

Northrop Grumman announced on Monday that it reached an agreement to acquire Orbital ATK for $7.8 billion, Reuters reports. The deal would boost Northrop Grumman’s rocket, missile and small satellite manufacturing, which have significant operations in the L.A. area.

Snapchat Removes Al Jazeera Channel from Saudi Arabia

Snap Inc. has been asked by the Saudi Arabia government to remove the Al Jazeera Discover Publisher Channel in that country because it violated local laws, the social media company said on Sunday, reports CNBC. Al Jazeera is a state-funded media company from Qatar, and Saudi Arabia led a group of other nations in the region to cut ties with it earlier this year.
