Saviynt raises $40 million; Snoops Dogg’s Casa Verde invests in Green Bits; USC earns top-10 spot for video game development programs.
Los Angeles-based Saviynt, a developer of identity management software, announced a $40M Series A funding round from Carrick Capital Partners, Socaltech reports. Savyint works with third-party systems like SAP, Oracle, Salesforce, EPIC and Workday, to manage access to those systems as companies go through re-organizations, mergers and acquisitions and process changes.
Snoops Dogg’s Casa Verde Invests in Green Bits
West Hollywood-based Casa Verde, a new venture fund led by Snoop Dogg that just raised $45 million, was part of a group that invested money into Portland-based Green Bits, a coding company for the cannabis industry, Fortune reports. The investment fits Casa Verde’s mission to invest in the “ancillary cannabis” industry.
USC Earns Top 10 Spot for Video Game Development Programs
The University of Southern California made the list of top-10 universities for video game development programs, the Business Journal reports. The list was put out by 80 Level, an online publication covering the gaming industry, and also included DigiPen Institute of Technology, Michigan State, University of Southern Florida, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Full Sail University, University of California, Santa Cruz, Oklahoma Christian University, Carnegie Mellon University and Abertay University. 80 Level considered 105 programs in its analysis.
