Soylent Believes Algae Ingredient Made Customers Sick
After reeling from news that a number of its customers got sick from its protein pars and powder mix, Soylent’s Chief Executive Rob Rhinehart said he believes that an ingredient called algal flour is the cause, reports Bloomberg. The company is planning on selling new formulations of its powder mix and meal replacement bars early next year without the algal flour.
Google Invested in Snapchat
Alphabet Inc.’s venture capital arm CapitalG disclosed an investment in Snapchat by adding the firm’s logo to a page on its investment portfolio website, reports Fortune. The company did not disclose how much of the Venice messaging company it owns.
Faraday Future’s Financier Facing Cash Crunch
The sole disclosed financier of Faraday Future, LeEco Chairman Jia Yueting, told his employees that his company it was facing a serious cash crunch, reports Bloomberg. Faraday Future has also faced cash problems lately and reportedly missed a missed a $21 million payment that was due in September to Aecom Technology Corp., which is building the carmaker’s $1 billion factory in Las Vegas.
