Mobile video game publisher GameMine raised a $20 million Series A round led by Palisades Venture Capital, reports Venture Beat. The company is developing subscription-based library of casual mobile games.
Snap Inc. Acquires Drone Company for $1 Million
Snap Inc., parent company of Snapchat, acquired drone camera and rigging company Ctrl Me Robotics for $1 million late last year, reports BuzzFeed. The deal was something of an acquihire, with Ctrl Me founder Simon Saito Nielsen joining Snap, along with some company assets and equipment.
SpaceX Conducts Static Rocket Test, Creates Brush Fire
SpaceX conducted a static test on Sunday of the Falcon 9 rocket it plans to use on an upcoming launch and accidentally created a brush fire, reports Space Flight Now. The brush fire broke out near the launch pad and consumed four acres before being contained later in the day.
