Atom Tickets Inks Deal with Landmark Theatres
Atom Tickets is expanding its online-ticketing network to include Landmark Theatres, allowing the studio-backed startup to sell tickets for the indie-film exhibitor’s 53 theaters with 255 screens, Variety reports. The pact widens the Los Angeles-based company’s total reach to over 20,000 screens across North America. The social-ticketing app also sells tickets for chains including AMC Theatres, Regal Cinemas, Southern Theatres, National Amusement’s Showcase Cinemas, Bow Tie Cinemas and Harkins Theatres.
Ride Share Companies Waive Arbitration for Sexual Misconduct Cases
Both Uber Technologies Inc. and Lyft Inc. announced they will allow alleged victims of sexual misconduct to pursue lawsuits against the companies, Recode reports. Previously, alleged victims had to negotiate claims using private arbitration and had to sign confidentiality agreements.
Tinder Gets Settlement from Tantan
West-Hollywood-based dating app Tinder, owned by Match Inc., received a settlement from the Chinese dating service Tantan, Socaltech reports. The financial details were not disclosed, but the settlement was for patent and trademark infringement.
