Jessica Alba’s Honest Co. Settles Fraudulent Labeling Lawsuit for $7.35 Million

Actress Jessica Alba’s Honest Co. has reached a $7.35 million settlement in a marketing fraud lawsuit that alleged the company fraudulently labeled home and personal care products as natural, plant-based or chemical-free, reports the Business Journal. The Playa Vista-based company was accused of dishonestly advertising consumer products, such as toothpaste, floor cleaners and laundry detergent, as free of harsh chemicals, but independent test showed that the products contained synthetic and toxic ingredients.

SpaceX Loses U.S. Air Force Launch Contract to ULA

SpaceX lost an U.S. Air Force launch contract worth $191 million to the United Launch Alliance, reports SpaceNews. SpaceX has now won two of three launches contracts for the Evolved Expendable Launch Vehicle program from the Air Force.

Boring Co. Test Tunnel Makes Progress Toward Car Elevator

Boring Co. Chief Executive Elon Musk said his company’s test tunnel in Hawthorne continues to make rapid progress, reports TechCrunch. Musk said that a prototype of an elevator that will be used to lower cars into the tunnel should be operational next week.
