Faraday Future Claims Electric Car Has More Than 64,000 Reservations
Faraday Future said that 64,124 reservations were placed for its FF 91 electric SUV within 36 hours of the vehicle’s unveiling at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, reports the Business Journal. The company did not disclose what portion of those reservations included a down payment of $5,000 and how many where placed for free.
Honest Co. Draws Boycott for Support of Trump’s ‘Apprentice’
Honest Co. is facing a boycott from consumers after the company sponsored an episode of “The Apprentice” and its co-founder Jessica Alba appeared on the show, reports Inc. Dozens of angry mothers, particularly in Brooklyn neighborhoods, are calling to cancel their monthly subscriptions.
SpaceX Wins Several Manned Space-Flight Contracts from NASA
Space Exploration Technology Corp. has won four additional manned-flight contracts to the International Space Station from NASA, reports GeekWire. NASA noted that funding is not yet available for those additional missions, and that the awards are pending certification of each company’s launch vehicle, which won’t be until 2018.
Beverly Hills Applies to Be Test Site for Autonomous Vehicles
The City of Beverly Hills has applied to the US Department of Transportation to become a test city for autonomous vehicles, according to a press release. If selected, the City would need to get a permit from the California Department of Motor Vehicles, which has not yet approved the use of autonomous vehicles on public streets, and would need to set up a testing area.
