Jimmy Iovine to Leave Apple Music in August
Former Interscope Chief Executive Jimmy Iovine is planning to leave Apple Music in August, Billboard reports. He joined Apple in 2014 after selling Beats, the music service and electronics business he co-founded with Dr. Dre, to the tech giant for $3 billion. It is believed his departure is timed to his Apple shares fully vesting, sources tell Billboard.
Chrome River Raises $35 Million More
Chrome River, developer of expense reporting software, raised another $35 million, Business Travel News reports. Funds were raised from prior investors Argentum Group, Bain Capital, First Analysis and Great Hill Partners.
eHarmony’s ‘Scientific’ Match Ad Banned in UK
An ad eHarmony placed in the London Underground in July which read “It’s time science had a go at love” was banned after The Advertising Standards Authority called the claim “misleading.” The online matchmaker said while it “respectfully disagrees” with the ruling, it will make its advertising “as clear as possible” in the future.
