Sean Rad to Step Down as Tinder CEO, Become Head of Match Group M&A Firm
Tinder Chief Executive Sean Rad will step down from his role as the company’s chief executive to lead Swipe Ventures, a Match Group accelerator and acquisition vehicle, reports the Business Journal. Rad will become chairman of Tinder and Swipe Ventures. Greg Blatt, Tinder’s current chairman, will assume the role of chief executive at the dating app. He will also continue to serve as chairman and chief executive of Match Group.
Honest Co. to Cut 14 Percent of Staff
E-commerce firm Honest Co. is planning to lay off 80 employees, or about 14 percent of its workforce, mostly coming from a call center in Texas, reports Women’s Wear Daily. The cuts are part of reorganizing efforts aimed at positioning the company for growth in wholesale channels.
Hulu Launches Multiple User Profiles
Hulu has launched user profiles for its streaming television and film platform to allow its members to have multiple accounts that receive customized recommendations, reports TechCrunch. A user account can have up to six individual profiles, which contain a viewer’s name, personal information, viewing history, and watch list.
