Miso Robotics Hires COO to Help Expand Restaurant Installations
Miso Robotics, a maker of burger-flipping robotic arms, announced it has appointed former Yahoo executive Melissa Burghardt as its chief operating officer, The Business Journal reports. The Pasadena startup appointed a chief operating officer to help the company organize and execute its plans to install robots in CaliBurger restaurants starting in the first quarter of 2018.
NASA Sees Equivalent Risk of Launching Used SpaceX Rocket Booster
Kirk Shireman, International Space Station program manager, said that NASA believes the risks of using a used SpaceX Falcon 9 booster were not significantly greater than a new booster, SpaceNews reports. Some risks, he said, are actually less with a re-flown booster, while some are a little greater.
Satellite Data Analysis Startup Slingshot Aerospace Raised $3.25M
Satellite data analysis startup Slingshot Aerospace raised a $3.25 million seed round led by ATX Seed Ventures, according to a press release. The company uses artificial intelligence to analyze satellite data for industries such as defense, insurance and energy.
