Soylent Founder to Step Down from CEO Role
Soylent co-founder Rob Rhinehart announced on Monday he is stepping down as chief executive, CNN Technology reports. Rhinehart, 29, will stay on as executive chairman. He is the company’s largest shareholder. Bryan Crowley, who has served as the firm’s president for the past year, will replace Rhinehart.
Snapchat Trying to Make Inroads with Advertisers in China
Snapchat is looking for an international strategy manager based in Shenzhen, China, where Snapchat opened a research and development office last December, according to a job opening posted on LinkedIn on Dec. 8, DigiDay reports. This new role seems to go beyond the main purpose of Snapchat’s Shenzhen office, which is to further develop Snapchat’s Spectacles hardware.
SpaceX to Launch Used Booster and Spacecraft
SpaceX will attempt to launch its 17th mission of 2017 on Tuesday, a cargo supply flight to the International Space Station, Ars Technica reports. The mission will mark the first time SpaceX has used a “flight proven” booster for a NASA launch and combined it with a used Dragon spacecraft.
