Faraday Future Leases 1 Million-Square-Foot Facility in Central California
Electric car maker Faraday Future announced on Sunday that it had signed a lease for a 1 million-square-foot facility in the city of Hanford in the Central Valley, reports USA Today. The company also secured a $14 million bridge loan from Innovatus Capital Partners LLC, a New York investment firm, reports The Wall Street Journal.
Virgin Galactic Carries Out ‘Dry Run’ Ahead of Powered SpaceShipTwo Flights
Virgin Galactic performed the latest glide flight of its SpaceShipTwo suborbital spaceplane on Aug. 4, calling it a “dry run” for upcoming powered test flights, reports Space News. SpaceShipTwo was carried aloft by its WhiteKnightTwo mothership for about an hour before dropping and landing in Mojave ten minutes later.
Google Developing Snapchat-Like Content
Google is developing technology to let publishers create picture and video content along the lines of Snapchat’s Discover feature, reports The Wall Street Journal. Participating publishers would run stories that could be several slides encompassing text, photos and video.
