SpaceX Hyperloop Competition Winner Goes 201 MPH

SpaceX held its second Hyperloop Pod design competition for student teams at the test track built near its Hawthorne headquarters on Sunday, reports TechCrunch. The winner was built by students at the Technical University of Munich and ran at a speed of 201 miles per hour.

Crowdfunding Platform FlashFunders Inc. Acquired

Crowdfunding platform FlashFunders Inc. of Santa Monica announced on Aug. 28 that it was acquired by financial services firm Boustead & Co. of London for an undisclosed amount, according to a press release. The crowdfunding platform was founded in 2012 to take advantage of the online crowd-financing provisions of the Jumpstart Our Business Startups Act.

Hulu Live TV Service Adds the CW

The CW has joined the ranks of the channels being offered by Hulu as part of its new live-TV service, reports Variety. The network, jointly owned by Warner Bros. and CBS Corp., becomes the fifth and final broadcast property to be added in the coming months.
