Snap Inc. confirmed in a financial filing that it purchased social maps app Zenly for $213 million, reports TechCrunch. After Snapchat rolled out its location-sharing Snap Map feature in June, many were quick to point out the interface similarities to Zenly, a Paris-based startup which lets teens keep tabs on what their friends are up to and where they are.
Google’s Diversity Controversy Mocked in Street Art Near Its Venice Office
Conservative street artist Sabo mocked Google’s diversity controversy in street art surrounding the company’s Venice offices, reports Hollywood Reporter. The artist posted signs distorting Apple’s “Think Different” motto on posters which are hung from telephone wires, plastered onto bus-stop benches, and placed on top of outdoor billboards.
Third Point Sells All Snap Shares
Investor Dan Loeb has sold his entire stake in the maker of Snapchat, reports Bloomberg. Third Point, Loeb’s hedge fund, sold about 2.25 million shares in Snap Inc. in the second quarter, according to a regulatory filing Friday.
