Burner: Ad Hoc Labs’ anonymous phone app Burner has been updated with additional premium features called Burner Connections. The Los Feliz company’s new app allows users to route voicemail recordings to Slack, Dropbox or Soundcloud. Users can also create auto-response text messages using Evernote.
Go90: Verizon’s new video-streaming app Go90 will feature content from a couple of L.A. companies. The new service will include content from Jukin Media’s YouTube show “Fail Army” as well as content from YouTube multichannel network AwesomenessTV.
Pluto TV: Online video streaming platform Pluto TV of Santa Monica has signed a bunch of new content deals. The video service will now broadcast videos from creators including AwesomenessTV, Cracked, IGN Entertainment, The Onion, TYT Network, Wochit News and World Poker Tour.
Hulu: Online streaming video platform Hulu of Santa Monica has signed an exclusive content deal with Viacom. The deal will give Hulu video-on-demand rights to all past and future seasons of shows such as Comedy Central’s “Key and Peele,” MTV’s “Faking It” and Nickelodeon’s “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.”
Radical.fm: Venice Internet radio service Radical.fm has launched a new feature called RadCasting. The feature allows listeners to tune into what others are listening to or broadcast their own music stations.
Fandango: West L.A. online movie-ticket seller Fandango has launched a research and development group. FandangoLabs will seek to create products with location-based services, social commerce, augmented reality, virtual reality, interactive video and personalization features. The first products are due in 2016.
Appetize: Santa Monica point-of-sale company Appetize has signed a software deal with Live Nation. As part of the deal Appetize will supply cloud-based software for 4,400 fixed and handheld point-of-sale units across 25 U.S. amphitheaters and seven indoor venues.
