AssetAvenue: Online real-estate crowdfunding website AssetAvenue of Westwood has launched a 30-year fixed rate real estate loan. The product will be used to finance the purchase of rental properties, including single-family homes, multitenant units, condos, and townhomes.
Blankspaces: Co-working space operator Blankspaces of Santa Monica will open a new 14,500-square-feet space in Hollywood in mid-June. The new location is located at 6600 Sunset Blvd., and will provide workspace for anyone from solo entrepreneurs to teams of 10 employees.
Jacobs Engineering: Pasadena’s Jacobs Engineering Group has won a contract to supply the U.S. Army Program Executive Office Missiles & Space with IT support services. The firm will provide data center and cloud services, among other services, for 2,500 end-users on multiple classified and unclassified networks.
GumGum: Santa Monica’s GumGum, a startup that overlays advertising on website images, has expanded its partnership with Bauer Xcel Media. As part of the agreement the firm will now run advertisements on images appearing on websites such as In Touch Weekly, Life & Style Weekly, and J-14.
West Hollywood: The City of West Hollywood has opened an automated car garage next to city hall. The 200-car garage moves cars using robotic lifts and shuttles, thus requiring a much smaller physical footprint than would a conventional parking structure with a similar capacity.
