Immersv: L.A.’s Immersv has launched a virtual reality advertising platform. The company said its platform will help virtual reality headset users discover new content as well as help creators make money via advertising.

500 Startups: Mountain View accelerator 500 Startups is expanding its presence in Los Angeles. The company has hired Jess Erickson as its L.A. program director, but hasn’t said what kind of operations it will run in Los Angeles.

Scopely: Mobile game maker Scopely of Culver City and World Wrestling Entertainment have signed an agreement for a new wrestling mobile game called “WWE Champions.” The game is currently being tested in smaller markets right now and will come out on iOS and Android devices later this year.

Mobolize: Cyber-security software developer Mobilize of Santa Monica has launched a mobile data protection app for iOS. The software prevents users from visiting websites flagged for hosting viruses or phishing attacks.

Stylehaul: Time Inc. of New York and online fashion media network StyleHaul of Hollywood have signed a content creation deal. The two companies will partner to produce millennial-oriented online content with a special focus on red carpet events as well as fashion and beauty topics.
