Moviepilot: Movie enthusiast website Moviepilot.com of Venice has launched a collaboration website, named Creators.co. The platform will allow movie and television show fans to share and collaborate on content they create.
CrashPad Inc: Beverly Hill’s CrashPad Inc. has launch iOS app Overnight. The app allows travelers to rent rooms at the last minute from nearby apartments and homes.
Famebit: Santa Monica’s FameBit, an online marketplace where advertisers buy endorsements from popular YouTube video creators, has partnered with e-commerce platform Shopify. FameBit creators will now have free access to Shopify’s platform and customer management support, so they can make extra money selling items online.
Incentive: Marina del Rey’s Incentive, an internal messaging and document sharing platform for businesses, has launched a free version of its software. The free version can be used by up to 15 users. Larger teams pay $9 per user per month for a version that includes additional and enhanced capabilities.
Telesign: Marina del Rey’s Telesign, a mobile identification and fraud prevention company, signed an agreement with telecommunications company Orange of France. Telesign’s technology will be used to increase security for Orange customer’s online accounts.
HotHop Inc.: Santa Monica’s HotHop Inc. has launched nightlife discovery app Roo on iOS. The app allows bar hopers to discover what’s going on at nearby bars and restaurants, including updates on live music, crowds and door waits.
